In 2019 we were very privileged to be asked to work for the UK’s original unicorn. Pre-covid, Skyscanner had a superb in-house Talent Acquisition team with huge experience and success scaling the product and engineering teams. With a new CMO, a new office in London and a short-term gap in marketing TA, the business was under immediate pressure without any in-house resource to recruit a new global integrated marketing team.
HT was asked to handle a basket of thirty roles ranging from brand through lifecycle to performance marketing. Within a week our team was embedded in the Skyscanner office and handling the end-to-end marketing TA process from drafting and optimising job adverts in conjunction with hiring managers, all the way through to contract negotiation and hand-off to on-boarding teams. Sourcing varied across roles; some required rapid triage of hundreds of applicants; others required targeted active search. With the combined team of Beringer Tame we were able to span Lead to Director level roles with some interesting new specialisms such as Head of App Marketing and Director of Social and Community.
